Good Afternoon TeamLCPS,
This year student-athletes will show up on the first day of spring tryouts with a half-sheet card that will have all of their eligibility information on it. If a student-athlete shows up to tryouts without one they need to come to the LC Athletics Office immediately. All student-athletes should pick their eligibility card up in our office during their lunch between Feb 20-24.
Here is information regarding LCMS tryouts (if you have questions, feel free to contact Janelle Erickson, LCMS Athletics Director, (540)894-5457):
- LCMS Baseball/Softball tryouts will take place on 02/18, 02/19 and 02/20
- LCMS Outdoor Track tryouts will take place on 03/02, 03/03 and 03/04
***8th graders trying out for JV teams will not have cards. On the first day of high school tryouts (02/24), each coach will send a list of the 8th graders trying out and we will determine their eligibility.***
In order for LCHS student-athletes to be eligible to get a tryout card, the following must be done...
- An updated physical must be turned in to the LC Athletics Office ASAP
- Athletics Code of Conduct must be turned in and signed by players and parents
- The Athletics Department will verify previous and current credits to make sure they are eligible through VHSL/LCHS guidelines.
What can you do to help? Physical forms and the Athletics Code of Conduct forms are available on the Athletics website https://louisacounty.rschoolteams.com/ under QUICK LINKS. All physicals and code of conduct forms need to be turned in to the LC Athletics Office by Feb. 21.
If you have any questions please contact the LCHS Athletics Office (540)894-5436. Thank you all so much for your support of TeamLCPS & LC Athletics!!
