I truly hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe during these times. You may have heard about an announcement on 06/11 by the Virginia High School League to allow out-of-season conditioning/practices to start on Monday, June 15, 2020. The LC Athletics Department as well as the rest of the VHSL member schools learned of this announcement on 06/11. Please note that before any activities begin, a plan must be submitted to the Virginia Department of Education and I assure you that the LC Athletics Department is in the developmental stages of such a plan and will share that plan with everyone upon its completion. We will continue to keep the safety of our student-athletes and coaches at the forefront of our decisions.
As a reminder, before any student-athlete is allowed to participate in out of season practices/conditioning, you must have a valid VHSL physical on file in the LC Athletics Office (NO EXCEPTIONS). The physicals are valid from May 1 of the current year, through June 30 of the succeeding year. Feel free to email a scanned copy of your VHSL physical to manriqla@lcps.k12.va.us or stanlega@lcps.k12.va.us.
