This is Coach Stanley with this week's LC Athletics schedule. I hope that everyone had a great summer and we are more than thankful for another opportunity to change lives through activities and athletics. The 2022-2023 school year is right around the corner and here is some up-to-date information about practices and tryouts.
-Cheer will practice on Tuesday of this week in the LCHS Annex Gym at 3 pm.
-JV and Varsity Field Hockey will practice by the Metal Gym Monday through Thursday this week, from 3:30-5:45 pm, and again on Saturday from 9-10:30 am.
-JV and Varsity Cross Country will practice at the stadium, starting at 7 pm Monday through Friday until school begins. They are not practicing on the weekends at this time.
-JV and Varsity Football will practice from 6-8:30 pm Monday through Thursday of this week.
-JV and Varsity Volleyball will hold tryouts in the LCHS Annex Gym on Monday at 3:45 pm and in the LCHS Main Gym the remainder of the week, starting at 3:45 pm.
Parents, please make sure that your kids have a valid VHSL Physical with them when they arrive at their tryout or practice. You can email a scanned copy to the LC Athletics office to either myself (stanlega@lcps.k12.va.us) or Mrs. Amber Gibson (gibsonad@lcps.k12.va.us). Please remain in contact with the head coaches of the programs for updated information about tryouts.
- As for this week's events, we have Golf hosting Deep Run at Cutalong at 2 pm on Monday. They will also play in the George Bockman Golf Tournament at Lake Monticello at 11 am on Thursday.
- JV and Varsity Football will scrimmage North Stafford on Saturday, and please listen to the following details: JV will scrimmage at North Stafford High School at 9 am. Varsity will also scrimmage at 9 am, but this will take place at Embrey Mill Park (1600 Mine Road, Stafford, VA 22554).
