LC Athletics Schedule - 02/07 through 02/12

Good Evening #TeamLCPS, this is Coach Stanley with this week's LC Athletics schedule:

• On Monday, our Dive team will compete in the Region 4D Championship at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center at 6:30 pm.
  
  • Boys and Girls Basketball will play Fluvanna at 6 and 7:30 pm with Boys on the road and Girls at HOME.  
    
• On Tuesday, Indoor Track will host a polar bear meet at home at 4:00 pm.  
  
  • Boys and Girls Basketball will play Monticello at 6 and 7:30 pm with Boys at HOME and girls on the road.  
    
    • We will celebrate SENIOR NIGHT for Boys Basketball before the start of the Varsity game.  
      
• On Wednesday, our Swim team will compete in the Region 4D Championship at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center at 10:30 am.  
  
  • Do not miss out on the Butter Ball event at LCHS Wednesday evening in the main gym at 7:00 pm.  
    
• On Thursday, Boys and Girls Basketball will play Goochland at 6 and 7:30 pm with Boys on the road and Girls at HOME.  
  
  • We will celebrate SENIOR NIGHT for Girls Basketball before the start of the Varsity game.  
    
• On Friday, we will close out the regular season, playing Monticello in basketball at 6 and 7:30 pm with Boys on the road and Girls at HOME.  
  
• On Saturday, there is a JV Wrestling tournament at HOME starting at 9:00 am in The DEN.  
  
  • Region Forensics competition will take place at Salem High School at 10:00 am.
    
  • Indoor Track will host another polar bear meet at 1:00 pm in the stadium and we will celebrate SENIOR NIGHT before the start of the competition.  
    

Congratulations to our Bobcats Basketball team for winning the Battlefield Championship on Friday and congratulations to our Varsity Wrestling Team, who did extremely well at the Region 4D Championship last night in Orange.  We have 4 Region Champions (Ciotola, O. Greslick, Casazza, and Painting) and sending a total of 7 wrestlers (adding G. Greslick, Torbush, and Bradford) to States in 2 weeks.  Great job to Coach Stewart, his staff, our team members, and community support.  

As a reminder, spring sports tryouts are coming up shortly, beginning with Middle School tryouts during the week of February 14th.  Please visit the LCMS Athletics page through the LCMS website for details.  As for JV and Varsity spring sports, tryouts will begin on Monday, February 21st, directly after school.  You must be academically eligible to compete and also have a covid waiver and code of conduct form turned into the LC Athletics office prior to your tryout.  Feel free to contact the LC Athletics Office if you have any questions.  I hope that everyone has a great week.  This is Coach Stanley signing off - Goodnight!!
